Community cafe: Great Lumley Community Centre, in the village's Front Street, runs a community cafe on Wednesdays and Thursdays between 9am and 2pm.
Legs eleven: Pelton Community Centre, Front Street, will hold a bingo session on Thursday night (January 24) from 7 to 9pm. Admission costs 50p.
Whist group: A Whist group meets at Fencehouses Community Centre, Woodstone Village, on Thursday between 7 and 9pm.
Signs approved: Durham County Council has given listed building conset for lit and unlit signs to be put up at the Shepherd and Shepherdess pub in Beamish.
