AN amateur theatre group will premiere two new plays by a local writer.
The Chester-le-Street Theatre Group will take to the stage with An Honourable Life and Frozen Assets, by Tom Casling.
They will be performed on alternate nights in the Chester-le-Street Community Centre, Newcastle Bank, from Monday to Saturday, February 11 to 16, starting with AN Honourable Life.
A group spokesman said: “We have performed Tom Casling’s plays before but this is the first time we have premiered two in the same week.
“We will have two different casts and they will work backstage when they are not performing.”
The performances start at 7.15pm and tickets for a single show cost £7 (concessions £6) but both plays can be seen for £10.
