AN information day is to be held to advise people with multiple sclerosis and their families about the help available to them.
The informal event takes place in the ground floor lobby of Chester-le-Street Community Hospital on Monday, February 25 from 10am to 3pm.
Organised by the Durham and District branch of the Multiple Sclerosis Society, the event will include information and free publications from local volunteers most of whom have MS.
Branch chairman Alistair Crisp said: "We want to tell people with MS about the support services on offer locally, with the aim of helping both carers and sufferers of this incurable progressive neurological illness to enjoy a better quality of life.
"We also hope to encourage people with or without MS to volunteer or help us raise money to fund our local work".
