SINGER Joe McElderry has announced an acoustic show later this year.
The South Shields-born performer is to play the Empire Theatre, in Consett on Friday, October 24.
McElderry, former winner of The X Factor, is to play two sell-out dates at the same 500-seat venue next month, but has now added an extra acoustic date later in the year.
Since winning The X Factor in 2009, McElderry went on to top the UK charts with his debut single The Climb and returned to TV on Pop Star to Opera Star and most recently The Jump.
Tickets for the show, priced £19.50, will go on sale on Saturday, May 31 and are expected to sell fast.
They will be available from 10am from the Box Office on 01207-218171 or online from www.leisureworks.net from 3pm.
