A TENNIS club is to open its doors for free to give prospective players a chance to take up the sport.
Shotley and Benfieldside Tennis Club is offering free tennis sessions on May 16 and 17 and again on June 13 and 14 as part of Great British Tennis Weekend
Visitors will be able to get involved in junior and adult Coaching, mini tennis, family time and general play on one of the club’s six all-weather courts for free.
Rackets and tennis balls will be provided so anyone and everyone can get involved whether they have never tried tennis before, want to get back into the game or are a regular player.
The club will also be offering fantastic special membership packages to all newcomers who join in the weekend’s activities.
Advanced booking is through the site www.lta.org.uk/gbtw.
Club head coach Phil Atess said: “We are really excited to be running an open day as part of the Great British Tennis Weekend.
