DARLINGTON police station is throwing open its doors to the public next month to show off its refurbishment.

Police staff will be onhand to guide visitors through different aspects of policing including the traffic unit, the bike section and dog handlers.

There will also be information on the Special Constabulary, Crimestoppers, Safeguarding, Special Branch and Neighbourhood Watch.

The open days take place over the weekend of May 24 and the station tour takes about an hour.
