A HOMEOWNER was threatened with violence during an attempted robbery last night (Monday, October 13).
Police are appealing for help to trace three men in relation to the incident in Meadow Road in Trimdon Village just after 7.30pm.
Two of the men forced their way into the property and threatened the owner with violence in an attempt to steal money.
The men made off from the property when the victim shouted for help.
Sergeant Alex Clarke said: “The victim was thankfully uninjured during the attack; however he was understandably extremely shaken.
“We would appeal to anyone who was nearby at the time to get in touch if they have information that might help us trace those responsible.”
The two suspects who entered the house are described as being men in their twenties, around 5ft7” in height. One of the men was wearing a green coat.
