SPOOKY-THEMED fun was the order of the day for youngsters who dressed in their scariest ghoulish garb to celebrate the forthcoming Halloween.

The party, held at the Pierremont Community Centre, in Darlington, on Friday (October 24), was organised by the recently-formed Manic Mum Days toddler group.

Mother of three Cassie Cooper, a part-time librarian in Darlington, set up the not-for-profit group last month, to provide mums with a forum for discussion and hold events for toddlers.

She said the Halloween event was a success, with almost 50 children attending.

The group connects mums with businesses in the area in a mutually beneficial way and its first ever Halloween party featured face painting, a photo booth and a spooky songtime.

Mrs Cooper has invited local groups to partner with the group, with a discount scheme being set up for members of the group.

Membership cards are being created and will be sent to members shortly.

The group aims to have one event per month, with autumn and Christmas-themed meetings planned.

Businesses who would like to link up with the group can call Mrs Cooper on 07530-470-467, or search for Manic Mum Days on Facebook.
