A HEALTH centre will showcase a range of activities, support sessions and more at an open day next week.

The Pioneering Care Partnership (PCP) has devised an action-packed programme of courses to help people become healthier and happier this year.

And, on Tuesday, January 20, from 10am to 3pm, people can chat to staff about the opportunities on offer at the Pioneering Care Centre in Netwon Aycliffe.

Those who would like a new hobby can find out about plans for the community garden, including hands on learning and training opportunities.

There will also be information about the Work For Health project, a free ten-week course designed to help people with health problems boost their skills and find jobs.

The Colour Your Life programme, meanwhile, offers free ten-week creative courses for the improvement of mental health and the development of emotional resilience.

All PCP courses are led by experienced professional tutors.

For those who overindulged at Christmas, PCP Health Trainers will be on hand with advice and support to help people lead a healthier lifestyle, including information about new fitness classes such as new age kurling and roller skating.
