A HISTORIC building at the heart of Sedgefield has been given a new lease of life as a business centre.

Business partners Ean Parsons and Ian Philipson bought Manor House last November and have sympathetically restored the Grade II listed building into office space and meeting rooms.

The pair have also launched a new company, Manor House 1707, offering modern facilities and on site business support services.

Individual offices ranging in size from 120 sq ft to 375 sq ft and suites up to 1,800 sq ft are available to rent and community groups can hire rooms for meetings and events.

Built in 1707, the Manor House has served many uses over the last 300 years, including a private residence, council headquarters and magistrates’ court.

Ean Parsons, managing director of Manor House 1707, said: “We are delighted to take ownership of the Manor House, which is a magnificent building, and we have a wonderful opportunity to turn it into a thriving business hub at the heart of the community.

“Sedgefield is a great place to live and work and is well located in County Durham.”
