BRIDES-to-be will be able to bag a bargain when a charity shop opens its new bridal boutique.

Oxfam, in Darlington, is opening the new bridal department in its Skinnergate shop, which will sell bridal wear, bridesmaid dresses and wedding accessories.

All items have been donated by Oxfam supporters, and volunteers have worked to decorate the boutique ready for its official opening on Saturday, May 16.

The boutique is temporary and will be open throughout the summer before the shop closes later this year for a refurbishment.

Manager Rachel Parry said: “We will have a lovely and varied selection of bridal wear, bridesmaids dresses and accessories available to purchase.

“This is an ideal opportunity for brides to be to help make a difference with their wedding. If you have any bridal dresses, accessories or menswear that you no longer need, we would love to take them as donations, and if you sign up to our gift aid scheme it will increase the value of your donation.”

The boutique is open from 9.30am to 5pm Monday to Saturday, and 10am to 6pm on Sunday.
