DARLINGTON played its part in a national arts movement highlighting climate change.
The Waking up to Climate Change initiative is a collaborative art project set up to help people learn about, discuss and act on climate change.
The aim is to make a giant patchwork blanket, with each patch being made by different individuals or groups across the country.
At the end of the project, patches will be sewn together and it is hoped that the completed blanket will be displayed in art galleries across the country to raise awareness of climate change.
Darlington’s Crown Street library hosted a workshop on Saturday for people to go along and create their own patch for the project.
