A DOGS’ home staged its annual show in a new venue. Hundreds of pet owners turned up for Dogs Trust Darlington’s annual fun day in the town’s South Park.
Competitions included waggiest tail, best trick and prettiest dog. A parade of the Sadberge rehoming centre’s dogs also took place to help them find new homes.
Darlington Mayor Coun Jim Ruck presented the prize to best in show, Inca, a German Shepherd cross collie, and owner Gill Crawford. There was also microchipping, other games for the dogs and entertainment for children.
Sarah Shreeve, from the centre, said: “It has been a fantastic day and the turnout has been brilliant.”
● The show raised £6,117.
