BOOK SALE: The Durham Palestine Educational Trust will hold a book sale from Thursday, April 10, to Thursday, April 17, in the Pemberton Rooms, Palace Green, Durham, from 10am to 4pm each day. Entry is free.
ART CLASS: Sophy Nixon will run an art class at Durham Free School, Bradford Crescent, Gilesgate, Durham, on six consecutive Wednesday evenings starting on April 23. Sessions run from 6.30pm to 8.30pm. The programme will cover drawing, painting and collage. The cost is £50 per person, including materials.
