FOUR law firms have agreed to waive their fees for drawing up a will in exchange for a donation to a hospice.

Throughout March, solicitors will help clients draw up a will for free, provided they make a suitable donation to Willow Burn Hospice in Lanchester.

Now in its sixth year, County Durham law firms BHP Law, Bennett Richmond, Nicholson, Martin, Legge and Miller, and Swinburne, Snowball and Jackson are taking part in Make A Will Month.

Clare Chillingworth, fundraiser for Willow Burn, said: “By writing a will individuals can be sure that their wishes will be carried out and their loved ones provided for.

“We are delighted that local solicitors have agreed to take part again.

“By waiving their fees, these professionals and their clients are helping us to continue our work across Derwentside and beyond.”
