EAST Durham College’s Houghall Campus is getting set to host a lambing watch.

The event will be held at Houghall Farm, in Durham, from 11am to 3pm on Sunday March 22.

As well as the lambs there will be a number of other attractions available on the day including, tours around the small animal unit where visitors can meet the college’s impressive range of reptiles and small mammals, along with cows, calves, pigs and piglets.

There will also be falconry displays, arts and crafts activities for the kids, plants sales and demos. Refreshments will also be available.

Farm manager Keith Cook said: “I believe this event at the college will be a great opportunity to show what we are doing at Houghall Farm to meet the future needs of industry and equip our learners with the skills and knowledge to meet the needs of employers.

“We can’t guarantee a live birth on the day, but there will certainly be loads of new born lambs for visitors to see.

Admission is £1.50 for adults and £1 for children.
