WEST End star and multi-platinum selling artist Marti Pellow has joined the cast of Blood Brothers at Darlington Civic Theatre.

The Wet Wet Wet frontman will star as the narrator in the critically acclaimed play written by Willy Russell.

Pellow shot to fame in 1994 after his band’s version of Love is All Around spent 15-weeks at number one in the charts.

More recently he has enjoyed success in the West End and has joined the Blood Brothers cast for a limited time only.

The show runs at the Civic Theatre until Saturday (November 10) and Pellow is set to star in all the Darlington shows.

The play, which recently celebrated its 23rd year in the West End, tells the story of twins who are separated at birth and grow up on opposite sides of the tracks, only to meet again with fateful consequences.

Tickets are priced from £18; evening performances start at 7.30pm and there are matinees at 2pm on Thursday and 2.30pm on Saturday.
