A CONCERT of military music, which was cancelled in October due to flooding, has been rearranged. It will be held at the Territorial Army centre, in Neasham Road, Darlington, on Tuesday, November 27, at 7.30pm. Tickets are on sale, priced £8, including a buffet. TEACHERS’ MEETING: The next meeting of Darlington Retired Teachers’ Association will be held on Wednesday (November 14), at 2pm, in the Harroway Room, at Elm Ridge Methodist Church, in Darlington. FESTIVE FAIR: Hurworth School is holding its Christmas fair on Thursday, November 15, from 6pm. Admission costs £1.50 for adults and 50p for children, including refreshments.

FLOWER MEETING: Darlington Flower Club is grateful to members and friends and the public for supporting their recent charity open meeting at Hummersknott School. The meeting was well attended and the club is grateful to everyone who supported the event. National demonstrator Keith Smithies gave a demonstration entitled All That Glitters.
