CREATIVE writing tutor John Dean still has places for the spring term for his popular courses in Darlington.
The ten-week adult learning courses, previously staged at Darlington Arts Centre and now held at the Friends’ Meeting House, in Skinnergate, deal with all aspects of creative writing.
Sessions focus primarily on prose, including short stories, novels and other forms of writing, as well as occasional forays into the world of stage, theatre and radio.
Each course is different and deals with everything from characterisation to plotting, creating strong sense of place to how to edit.
Sessions run on Tuesdays and Wednesdays between 7pm and 9pm.
Tuesday sessions begin on January 15, with no class on February 19. Wednesday sessions begin on January 16, with no class on February 20.
The final sessions are on March 26 and 27.
Course costs are £46, or £37 for concessions.
