EX-TEACHERS MEET: Darlington Retired Teachers’ Association holds its first meeting of the year in the Harroway Room, at Elm Ridge Methodist Church, on Wednesday (January 9), at 2pm. Physiotherapist Mrs C Griffiths will give a talk entitled ‘Me and My Skeleton’.
CHURCH OPENS: Darlington Spiritualist Church, in Denmark Street, re-opens this week following the Christmas and New Year break. Services will be held at 7pm on Saturday (January 5) and 6.30pm on Sunday.
