A BALL organised by a Darlington nurse raised more than £3,000 for a brain tumour charity.
About 300 people attended the glamourous event at the Morritt Arms, in Greta Bridge, near Barnard Castle, which made £3,300 for Brain Tumour UK.
Rebecca Dixon, a cardiac nurse at Dr Piper House, in King Street, Darlington, organised the night and chose to support the charity after a close friend suffered a brain tumour.
She said: “It was a great night and I want to thank everyone who came along and showed their support.”
The annual ball, which has taken place for a number of years, previously raised £3,800 for the Darlington and District branch of the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
