BOOGYING AWAY: Residents at Ashwood Park care home in Easington Colliery boogied away with staff and neighbours at a special tea dance at the nearby Salvation Army Hall. Members of the community, as well as residents from nearby homes and ward councillor David Boyes attended. The celebration was a chance to welcome Ashwood Park’s new manager, Margaret Moss. Ashwood Park is part of European Care Group.
PERMISSION GRANTED: Planning permission has been granted for the construction of a private riding arena at Stanleymoor Farm, South Moor, Stanley. The decision was made by planning officers at Durham County Council using delegated authority.
DETACHED DWELLING: Durham County Council planning chiefs have granted planning permission for a detached dwelling at Plot 6, East Murton Farm, Station Road North, Murton.
PACT MEETING: A Police and Community Together (Pact) meeting will be held at St Mary’s church hall, Blackhills Road, Murton, from 5pm to 6pm on Tuesday November 20. A member of the neighbhourhood policing team will be in attendance.
