THE organisers of Leyburn Bonfire have thanked helpers and sponsors for their support.
Hundreds of people attended the event on the Shawl on Monday night.
The bonfire and fireworks display was organised by Wensleydale Round Table.
Chairman Gary Simpson said: “It was a great success and for a town the size of Leyburn the display was excellent.
“We want to thank everyone involved, particularly the sponsors who paid for adverts in the programme.
“The programme raised £3,000 which helped us to cover the costs with some money left over for next year's event.”
