FALLEN STUDENTS REMEMBERED: Staff and students from Redcar’s Sir William Turner’s School who died during the First and Second World Wars will be commemorated at a ceremony on Friday when present staff and students pay their respects and lay wreaths at the annual Remembrance Service. The service will take place from 10.30am at Redcar and Cleveland College’s HE Centre on Corporation Road, Redcar.

COUNCIL TAX CHANGES: The public are being asked for their views on changes in the way council tax benefit is paid. A new council tax support scheme will come into effect in April 2013 and could mean some people will have to pay council tax for the first time. TABLE TENNIS: Primary school children are invited to attend a free table tennis session. Ormesby Table Tennis Club is holding an introduction session on Saturday, November 10 from 10am to midday at the club on Cargo Fleet Lane. Interested children can go on to participate in the “Hopes” sessions which take place at the club on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 5.30pm-6.30pm.
