THIEVES stole gas piping from four addresses in the Chestnut Close area of Lazenby, near Redcar sometime between last night and this morning, Monday, December 17 and Tuesday, December 18.

Each piece of piping was about three metres in length.

Inspector Guy Hall, of Greater Eston Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “Cutting the piping is extremely dangerous. The piping itself is worth very little in scrap metal value.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Inspector Guy Hall on the non-emergency 101 number.
