MAN FOUND Andrew Young, 49, who had been missing since Sunday December 30 was found in the Normanby area yesterday (Tuesday January 1). Police would like to thank the public for their assistance.
HOUSE FIRE The upstairs of a house in Aire Street, Middlesbrough, was left with 40 per cent smoke damage following a fire in the early hours of this morning (Wednesday January 2). By the time the fire brigade arrived, the fire was out.
FIRE RESCUE A woman and her dog had to be rescued by fire crews following a fire at a flat in Langley Close, Redcar. The fire, which took place shortly after midnight today (Wednesday January 2), destroyed a quantity of food as well as a microwave.
BIKE RIDE A free Skyride will set off from Guisborough Forest Visitors Centre in Pinchinthorpe at 10am on Saturday January 5. The 6.8 mile ride will last around 1hr 50 mins and is suitable for over 8s.
CHRISTMAS TREES Hartlepool residents can recycle their real Christmas trees between January 7 and 18. The council will carry out kerbside collections of discarded trees on a ward-by-ward basis. Residents should put trees on the kerb outside their homes by 7.30am on the day of collection. The trees will be taken to a local farm for composting.
