A STREET brawl involving more than 50 people in a street led to one man suffering serious facial injuries and stab wounds.
Police were called to the brawl at the junction of Aberdare Road and Bridgend Close, Grangetown, near Middlesbrough, in the early hours of New Year’s Day.
A 22-year-old man was found with facial injuries, including a broken cheekbone, and minor stab wounds to the back.
He was taken to Middlesbrough’s James Cook University Hospital and was released later that day.
Police are appealing to any witnesses or anyone with information to call Kirkleatham CID on 01642-302626.
