CLASSIC SHOW: Vintage cars in pristine condition will once again go on show in Hartlepool this year. The Northern Bygones Society will host their annual event at the Historic Quay on Sunday, April 21, from 10am to 4pm. No booking is needed for the event and those interested in the display are urged to turn up on the day. The show will take place in the car park of Hartlepool’s Maritime Experience and will feature all kinds of vehicles from around the region including cars, motorcycles, buses, vans, wagons and tractors. For more details, visit www.northernbygones.org.uk

LINE DANCING: Line dancing classes take place every Sunday from 8pm until 10pm, at Middlesbrough Bowling Club, Cornfield Road, Linthorpe, Middlesbrough. For further information call 01642-827970.

VOLUNTEERING CHANCE: A chance to become a volunteer in the Hartlepool countryside is on offer later this month. A squad of volunteers called the Wild Wednesday team wants to hear from more people interested in joining them. On Wednesday, January 9, the team will visit parks in Hartlepool to do review the projects they need to do. People should meet at the notice board at the entrance to the Family Wood, off Elwick Road. Organisers have urged anyone interested in taking part to wrap up warm and bring sturdy footwear. Transport to the event is also available and anyone wanting more details should contact 01429-853325.
