Cleveland Mountain Rescue Team were also called out over the weekend to help a man who collapsed while out walking.

They responded to the first emergency at 11.15pm on Saturday to help two men stuck on Roseberry Topping, near Great Ayton.

He said: “There are a number of very steep and dangerous drops from the top of  Roseberry and the landscape can appear very different at night. Not knowing the area well they did exactly the right thing. Stayed put where they were safe and called for assistance.”

The second call-out came on Sunday morning 11 30am when the team were called to help a 55-year-old man who had collapsed whilst out walking with a group near Bousdale Hill Farm above Pinchinthorpe, near Guisborough.
