A COMMUNITY pulled together for a Christmas singalong at the weekend.

Singers gathered outside Tesco, in Catterick Garrison, on Saturday (December 21) evening for the event, which was supported by local residents and businesses.

There were mince pies and hot chocolate donated by businesses in Catterick, while a local DJ, Danny Plumb provided the music.

The event was organised by Sarah Sixsmith, who said the singalong was inspired by her love of music and was a way for the community to unite and engage in something positive.

Catterick Sports Association arranged for Santa to visit on his musical sleigh, while the Teesdale Lions provided a reindeer sleigh for children to sit on.

Proceeds were donated to Catterick Sports Association and The Beacon Charity.
