PEDESTRIANS who were walking past when a driver grabbed the arm of a ten-year-old boy are being urged to contact the police.
Officers investigating an incident in Nether Poppleton, near York, on Friday (January 24) in which a schoolboy was approached by the driver of a green car, are asking people to come forward with information.
The boy was approached as he cycled home on Millfield Lane between 3.15pm and 3.30pm. The man, who officers believe was driving a dark green Vauxhall, spoke to the boy and asked for directions before getting hold of his arm. The boy was not physically harmed, but was very upset by the incident.
There were a number of pedestrians and cyclists who went past the boy as he was talking to the driver.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option two and ask for York CID.
Or information can be passed via email to Yorkcid@northyorkshire.pnn.police.uk
