TEAMS are being urged to sign up for Northallerton annual “Footy Fest” which is due to kick off in May.
The free-to-enter five-a-side tournament is being run by Actdivertz, a group of agencies including the police and Broadacres Housing which organises activities to reduce anti-social behaviour.
It will take place at Alverton primary school on May 25 and is split into two age groups, 11-14-year-olds and 15-19-year-olds.
Teams can be mixed groups of boys and girls, with five players and one sub.
Running alongside it is a family fun day, featuring a bouncy castle, face painting, graffiti boards, and a barbeque.
Sgt Simon Wilson said: “We looking for teams to compete in this year’s Footy Fest and we want to make the event bigger and better than last year.
“It is free to enter and there is also a family fun day with plenty of activities going on as well.
“Everyone is welcome, so please come along and join us on the day.”
To register pick up a form from Insite Youth Support Service, on Northallerton High Street, or Allertonshire School, message YSS Northalleton on Facebook or email kelly1.holiday@northyorks.gov.uk
