AN easter sheep trail has been organised throughout Bedale town centre to encourage shoppers to support the town and Tuesday market from April 15.

Quiz sheets for children have been distributed to schools and nurseries around the area and will be available at Bedale Tourist Information and local shops.

Prizes are on offer for youngsters who manage to find over 50 sheep hidden in businesses and market stalls across the town.

Deputy Mayor Christine Mollard said:”We wanted to encourage people to use the town shops and the market, and this seemed a good way of doing it in the run up to Easter.

"The competition is open to children up to the age of 11 with special prizes for different age groups.

"We really hope local people will get involved , it’s so important for the community to support local traders and our Tuesday market.”
