A CHARITY auction, featuring a boxing glove signed by former world heavyweight champion boxer Mike Tyson, will be held to raise funds for an 11-year-old girl battling a rare cancer.
Organisers of the event, at the Whitestonecliffe Inn, Sutton-under-Whitestonecliffe, near Thirsk, on Sunday (April 20), from 9pm, said more than 60 lots had been donated by residents and businesses to help the appeal for Gaby Alderson, of South Otterington, near Northallerton.
Gaby was diagnosed with stage 4 MYCN-amplified neuroblastoma last September and is undergoing chemotherapy after surgeons confirmed last month that her cancer had progressed.
Alongside the boxing glove donated by racehorse trainer Kevin Ryan, lots at the auction compered by Bagby-based haulage firm boss Shane Bell will range from a Mousey Thompson cheeseboard to kunekune pigs.
