PARENTS have been invited to a meeting to discuss the future governance of Richmond School.
The meeting at 6pm on Thursday (January 22) will discuss the interim executive board (IEB) which currently runs the school handing control of the school to a permanent board of governors.
Parents, carers and stakeholders are invited to attend the briefing in the school's sixth form.
Colonel Stephen Padgett, chair of the IEB, and officers from North Yorkshire County Council will lead the meeting.
The IEB is expected to end is tenure at Easter this year.
The board was put in place last year after the previous governing body stepped down shortly after receiving an official warning letter from the county council.
It has since emerged that the letter was issued after the relationship between the governors and the senior leadership team at the school broke down.
