A JUNIOR football team is set to give rivals a warm reception after scoring a two-year sponsorship deal.
Thirsk Falcon's Juniors under-15s team will be supplied with base layers and kits by sports performance wear company Sub Sports, which relocated to the town in September.
The team's coach, Tim Coyne, said he believed the having the base layers would be a huge bonus, helping the boys to perform whatever the weather.
He said: “The lads are thrilled with the professional look and feel of the base layers.
"Base layers and compression wear has become very popular with sports men and women in recent years and for young people they are particularly important when playing football in the cold and wet.
"We’re looking forward to building on our success in the TJFA Division 1 next season with the continuing support of Sub Sports."
Thirsk Falcons has 14 teams across ten age groups and fundraises thousands of pounds each year to support the club, but also relies on the sponsorship from local firms.
