THE largest yurt in Europe will set up camp in North Yorkshire next month as part of a spectacular wedding show.
The super-sized 50ft diameter yurt was specially built in the UK for Ripon-based Yorkshire Yurts, to meet demand for a large party space which retained the warmth and intimate feel of the traditional Mongolian tent.
And the handmade hardwood and canvas structure will go on show for the first time at the Yorkshire Yurt Wedding Show on April 18 and 19 at Aldfield, near Ripon.
The owner and founder of Yorkshire Yurts, Tom Sterne said:“We’re thrilled to be able to offer this one-off venue to our customers and have already had enquiries from as far afield as Kent and France.
“With more and more people wanting to make their weddings as unique as possible, the yurt offers a space which can be made as luxurious or as simple as you wish.”
The show is free to attend and takes place from 12pm to 4pm each day.
