A HOUSING developer is seeking opinions on plans to build 58 new homes in Crook.

A planning application is being prepared for the site, which is opposite the entrance to Rudkin Drive and to the north of the MacDonald Industrial Estate.

The development will be a mixture of bungalows and two-storey terraced and semi-detached residential homes, all of which will be affordable housing for rent and shared ownership.

The homes would be owned and managed by social housing provider Riverside.

The proposals will be on display during a drop-in consultation on Thursday, September 25, between 3pm and 6.45pm. Representatives from Miller Homes and Riverside will be on hand to answer questions.

Andrew Williamson, development manager at Riverside, said: “We believe the proposal we have responds to the demand for more affordable homes in Crook, and would like to hear from as many people as possible.

“We look forward to welcoming the community to the public consultation where they will be able to view the proposals.”

Anyone unable to attend will be able to view the proposals online via the consultations page at

resultscommunications.co.uk from 10am on Friday (Sept 26).

Feedback forms will be available during the public consultation and comments can be sent to peasesway@resultscommunications.co.uk
