Entries for a dales cycling sportive that replaced the cancelled Etape Pennine race are now open.
Cycling fans took on the mammoth task of organising the event which will have three gruelling routes, including a 90-mile headliner through Weardale and Teesdale, named ‘The Winking Sheep’.
The event is being led by Cameron Gordon, who runs Roof of England Cycling, in St John’s Chapel and hires out bikes at the Chatterbox Cafe.
The event, costing £26, is due to be held on August 30, 2015.
To enter visit www.britishcycling.org.uk or you can pay by cash, card or cheque at Chatterbox Cafe in St John's Chapel, Upper Weardale.
