AN increasingly popular arts festival is set to return next month.

Febfest, organised by Jane Crawford, festival director from Daisy Arts, will run throughout February in Bishop Auckland.

Events will take place across the town at Bishop Auckland Town Hall, Auckland Castle, Auckland Youth and Community Centre, St Mary’s Church, The Discovery Centre and Woodhouse Close Library.

The launch will be a schools exhibition in the McGuinness Gallery, in Bishop Auckland Town Hall, on Monday, February 9, at 1.30pm.

Highlights of the programmed include, 3D sheep using dry felt making techniques at the library in Bishop Auckland Town Hall on Wednesday, February 18, between 10am and 12.30pm. Admission is £3.

Celtic harpist Louise Bradley will lead a workshop at St Mary’s Church, on Friday, February 20, between 10am and 12.30pm. Admission is £4.

The event will draw to a close with an animation, entitled The Rebellious North, screened onto the Scotland Wing at Auckland Castle, on Thursday, February 26; Friday, February 27 and Saturday, February 28, at 7pm, 8pm and 9pm. Admission is free.
