YOUNGSTERS tested their superpowers on an adventurous school trip this month.

The children from Wolsingham Primary School have been learning about comics and superheroes in class and were treated to an action pack day out as a reward.

Dressed as their favourite characters, the children, aged five to seven, watched Big Hero 6 at the Gala cinema in Durham City, before heading over to CrossFit All Out in Newton Aycliffe.

Teacher Gemma Bowtell said: “CrossFit All Out is a strength and conditioning facility which I attend. “It has a large graffiti wall covered in superheroes, which I knew the children would be amazed by.

“The staff said they would be happy to host a visit so we were all very excited.

“The children took part in a super hero workout delivered by the coaches at Crossfit All Out and after their workout they were given a healthy snack. The staff were very welcoming and a lot of hard work went into planning and delivering the activities.”
