POLICE are seeking thieves who stole a horse from a field near to a riding stables.
The Dutch warmblood cross horse was taken from a field next to Church Meadows Farm, in Crook, over the weekend.
The five-year-old bay and black horse with a white face was in the field near Church Hill.
The thieves cut through the chains on the gate at the entrance of the field to steal the horse between 7pm on Sunday , August 7, and 8.30am on Monday, August 8.
There are other horses in the field but the crooks did not touch any of them.
