NEIL ENTWISTLE was born and raised in Nottinghamshire, the son of a coal miner and a cook.
After graduating from York University with a Masters degree in electronic engineering, he married American Rachel Souza and they eventually had a daughter, called Lillian, and emigrated to Rachel’s home country.
But ten days after moving into their new home in Massachusetts, Rachel and Lillian were found dead. Neil claimed Rachel killed their baby before turning the gun on herself, and had been so distraught at finding their bodies, he’d fled back to England.
Despite his and his parents claims that he’s innocent, US authorities say Neil’s story doesn’t match the evidence found at the scene of the crime.
The latest edition of documentary series Murder Files: Killer on the Run features expert analysis that should put to rest any doubts there may have been about whether the man currently serving life in a US jail is guilty or not.
