I AM writing to express my disgust at the story of the Tynedale Hunt’s charity calendar for the Great North Air Ambulance (Echo, Nov 2).

I am not disgusted by the naked images, but by the hunt’s bloody past. I am a supporter of the Great North Air Ambulance (GNAA), since the company I work for has supported the ambulance greatly in recent years, but seeing this kind of support makes me sick to my stomach.

This just seems to be an attention-seeking move by the desperate hunt and its supporters to garner sympathy for a cruel bloodsport.

Sorry, Tynedale Hunt, if I want to support the GNAA I will donate money off my own back rather than buying your tacky and tasteless calendar.

It just reminds us all of why we banned fox hunting in the first place.
