AS a council tax payer of many, many years standing, I am disgusted that Durham County Council is now charging to remove additional domestic waste from my partner’s new property.
I contacted the council and was told I would be charged £10.60 per six black bin bags. As she has 28 of them, this is £53.
This is a joke as we pay for the service already.
I do not condone it in any way, but you can understand why people resort to flytipping.
