IN Monday’s paper, there was an article about the celebration weekend for the 400th anniversary of Wolsingham School (Echo, July 21). The one person who should be mentioned above anyone else and has not been was Anita Atkinson.
Anita organised a wonderful exhibition of old photographs, documents and lots of other memorabilia.
As someone who has had almost 40 years experience in organising such events, I am very much aware of the attraction of such exhibits and how they are a great talking point. It was these items which brought the visitors together.
It was a great joy to watch people greeting each other, most after many years absence and to hear them discussing the past and talking about the pictures on display.
A job very well done and all credit to Anita.
