THE people who live near the new housing development in Colburn, near Catterick, are getting sick of the amount of time it is taking to re-lay the footpaths on both sides of the road – it has been more than two months now.

The contractor that is doing the job has put in kerbs, dug them up, laid tarmac, dug it up, put in an island and dug it up to make it smaller, and nothing is finished before they start another job.

I rang Taylor Wimpey customer support and sent an e-mail, but still we await a miracle to get the paths done. You take your life in your hands when you try to cross the road to the recycle bins and temporary traffic lights have been here on several occasions.

People coming out of the car park are getting very angry, with some going over the grass to get out.

This has been a joke from start to finish – and it is not finished yet. If this letter is printed, maybe it will prompt them to finish the job.
