Hughes and Hartley are crowned as February's finest

MANAGER OF THE MONTH: John Hughes
JOHN Hughes has been named as the League One manager of the month for January - at the same time his Hartlepool United captain Peter Hartley was named the division's best player.
Pools enjoyed four wins and two draws in an unbeaten month to move off the bottom and give themselves a fighting chance of staving off relegation.
PLAYER OF THE MONTH: Peter Hartley
Hartley scored twice - against Notts County and Orient - to play his part.
The pair received their awards this morning and Pools go to Coventry tomorrow.
