A STUNNING finish from Bradley Walker earned Hartlepool United a point at home to Burton.

The midfielder had only been on the pitch for two minutes when he latched onto a loose ball to crack a confident strike into the net from the edge of the area.

After a flat opening half, in which Pools fell behind, the point was deserved on their second half display.

After Matty Palmer headed over from close range, the Brewers took the lead on 17 minutes.
Chris Hussey fed marauding right back Phil Edwards and he turned to volley under goalkeeper Scott Flinders, although Pools were disappointed that referee Richard Clark allowed a foul on Luke James to go unpunished in the build-up.
They could have been two up five minutes later, but Palmer screwed wide from a good position.
The visitors were reliant on Edwards when he cleared a goalbound Andy Monkhouse effort off the line before the break.
Keeper Dean Lyness preserved the lead when he saved well from Luke James and Monkhouse had a second effort hooked off the line, this time Ian Sharps performing heroics.
Pools deservedly levelled on 68 minutes. Substitute Brad Walker had been on the pitch for just two minutes when he curled a confident., first-time shot home from 18 yards.
James almost won it for Pools on 81 minutes, winning the ball on the touchline and racing into the area before shooting wide.
