DERBY DAY: Fabio Borini settled the last derby between Newcastle United and Sunderland with a dramatic late winner at the Stadium of Light
THE date and time of next month's Tyne-Wear derby has been confirmed, with Newcastle United hosting Sunderland at St James' Park on Saturday, February 1 (ko 12.45pm).
Unexpectedly, the game has not been selected for live television coverage by either Sky or BT Sport.
The police insist the game has a lunch-time kick-off, and the two clubs have agreed on a Saturday fixture rather than putting the match back to the Sunday.
Both clubs will issue updated ticketing details for the game in due course.
